HILATURAS TEXTILES CREVILLENTE S.A.L. has obtained funding through the Center for Industrial Technological Development – CDTI for the development of the project “ EUREKA-HYBTEX Research and development of hybrid yarns of high mechanical performance“, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund – FEDER, through the Program Pluriregional Operative of Intelligent Growth.
This research and development Project, started in May 2016 and completed in April 2018, with a budget of 283.757,00 €, has been developed in our production plant in Crevillente (Alicante).
With this Project, new hybrid yarns that can be used in the manufacture of thermoplastic matrix composites have been developed. These composites are based on the use of hybrid yarns mixed high performance fibers (carbon) and others polymer components of different melting point.
These new yarns are highly specialized, capable of being used as raw material for the manufacture of composite parts by filamentwinding, and as raw material for the development of hybrid fabrics that will be used in the manufacture of flat pieces of composites means of thermocompression processes.
